YouTube posted a short, 2-minute video on its Spotlight channel to help people honor their individuality and celebrate their uniqueness.
The video featured various members of the LGBTQ community, proudly standing together and declaring their love for their sexual orientation and gender identity.
…But the video was flooded by dislikes, and the vile remarks got so bad that YouTube had to disable the comments for the video.
So much for love and acceptance.
Do people really feel like this? Or did they just get caught up in the maelstrom of negativity that is easily perpetuated by groupthink and online anonymity?
More importantly… what obligation, if any, do we have to teach acceptance to our children?
Here’s the video.
